Good to hear from you :)
I hope you are doing well
Thank you for being patient with me. I've been going through some rough times recently, specifically with mental illness. This is why I haven't been as active on the Discord and Forums, and is a factor that restricts the amount that I am able to work on Axu. After consultations with my doctor, I now have a plan that should hopefully make it easier to cope with day-to-day life, even if work continues to be as busy as it has been recently.
Axu is definitely not dead, and I have read your bug reports and requests. Over the last two months, 0.6 has slowly been worked on to an almost release-ready build. As always, you can read the current changes from the previous stable HERE.
So what are the plans going forward? I've been designing (on paper) a new progression system on and off that I feel better suits the Axu, and allows much easier difficulty scaling from beginning to end game. As it stands right now, abilities are much too random, being only acquired via tomes, or rarely via artifacts. I want to give players the opportunity to design their character more in-depth. Level up traits and Abilities will be chosen based on tiers and prerequisites eventually. I would like to at least start on this before releasing 0.6, but will most likely continue experimentals, to give players a chance to see all the new content. Mod support, past what I have in my current indev build, will be put on the back burner to continue focusing on balance for the existing content.
As always, I love to hear your suggestions! Let me know if there's a particular area you'd like to see more focus on.
